A Party of Five--THREE girls and two boys...

Welp. I'm now a mother of three. The baby held on until Wednesday morning when I had an appointment to be induced. Brian and I drove over to Eugene to the hospital and checked in around 5:00 a.m. Coincidentally, I was having light contractions about five minutes apart on the way there. At around 6:00 a.m. I was settled in my room,
and shortly after that I was started on patosin (anyone know how to spell that?). My doctor arrived a little after 6:30 and broke my water--he asked if there had been any action over the weekend to which Brian proudly replied that there HAD been just the previous night. Brian is seriously out of control. Anyway, we had really been hoping that things would go quickly because my doctor was having to leave town around 10 or 11 am, and we really didn't want to have another doctor deliver the baby. Well, quickly things went because by around 8 o'clock I was given an intrathecal (again, sorry for my spelling inabilities--not even spell check has any suggestions) and by nine I was ready to push. I started pushing at 9:11 and the baby was out before 9:14. That's right. Wham, whir. Thank you, sir-- And Dr. Green was free to go.
The baby was 7 lbs 11 0z and 19 1/2 inches long and nameless until today around noon, at which time we finally named her Danin Ellis. So there you go. Isn't she perfect?

She's cute...congradulations to your family. I can hardly wait for that day to be here for me. I swear that is one of my favorite moments in life...to be able to meet your precious little babies. Well, that makes another girlfriend for our upcoming little girl. (I think you spell patosin like this...pitocin...you're on your own for the other word) Have you been induced with all of your kids? Just wondering because I have.

Awww, I'm so glad I finally got to see a picture of her! She's beautiful! We're you surprised she was a girl? Are you glad you didn't find out? I wish I could have visited you at the hospital. I had just dropped Dustin off at my moms office and was on my way to come see you when I got your voicemail that you had already been discharged! Oh well. Hopefully we can get together soon.

Hooray! Congrats on the new - and very perfect - little woman. What a fast labor. I don't even dare hope for something like that this time around! I'll be happy with, like, 30 hours. Do you pronounce her name with a long or short "a"? Just wondering since it seems a little close to my name and I always am asked that! :) Congrats, congrats, congrats!

Awe! Congratulations! We are so excited to hear that all went well. What a cute name. From the last picture I think that she has more Mitchell in her than Lac.

Hey Annie Beautiful,

Why are you such a shiny super model in your very hospital room? I kept thinking I don't know what you were having, and thats why, it was a surprise, and what a fun little treat to have a Danin Ellis surprise, she's mighty precious. I might add Camp is so dern cute and handsome and little Jane is a real sweetie cutie bob too. What a fine little family you have Ann! I won't call for a while just in the case you're sleeping, but I want you to know you can call me anytime, and I have been thinking of you lots lately and love you! We won't be able to be out for Thanksgiving but we will be up sometime. I love you Anna Banana!
Emily Congrats to you too Brian!!

Well of course the baby looks cute. (They always do). But you look too gorgeous! How do you people pull that off? I looked like a sweaty, puffy mess in both of my labor & delivery pictures.
