Camp and I went on a date last Saturday. It's funny because despite the fact that I am home with him everyday, I find that I am in desperate need of time alone with him. (Time when I am not sending him to his room for hitting Jane or calling me an idiot--time when we have no one to distract us from one another.) Anyway, it was really fun. We went to Subway for lunch, and then to a play, and then to the grocery store where I let Camp get a chocolate donut to eat while I shopped.
Other than that...my washing machine is broken. Sometimes I hate being a grown up.

Ann I am so proud of you I think that was a PM after the 1:something and not an AM!!!! I know what you mean about the alone time especially with your little man. I try to do that with Kartor from time to time. I think it is so important for boys to spend quality time with mom too!! I feel like I do a lot with Lillie and Bel like painting nails and playing kitchen or dolls that Kartor gets the shaft. So one on one time lets him know that I haven't forgotten how cool he is!!! you're such a great person. Camp must think the world of you (at least those times when you are not being an idiot!!!)

Great idea! Lately I've been feelin' that Max needs some time like that as well. Heck, I need some time like that. I've missed our one-on-one time probably just as much.

Dates are a must! Glad you had a good time. Very inventive, productive shopping trip and one on one time. I like the way you think.

That is so sweet. Travis and I have talked about those kind of dates but we haven't actually done them I think it is so very important too. Especially the more kids you begin to have as your time becomes more divided between them. I see that Avery needs it because she was so used to my undivided attention before Madelyn came. I also can hardly wait for Avery to start pre-school because then Madelyn can have some of that time, which she is not accustomed to getting at all.

Ann - first of all I love your bangs. i don't know how new they are but either way they look fabulous. Second, so my kid's going to call me an idiot - great! I think I'll take you up on the date idea. You are a good mom!!

What a fun date! I know what you mean. Sometimes the older one gets less time. But it is so nice to reconnect with them and remember how it was just you two like in the good ol' days!

Great idea! My sister and her husband do that with each of their kids--so they can have time with mom and then with dad.

I ran into your parents on Friday night at a wedding I was catering. How funny? I asked her if she was Ann's mom and then we talked for a few minutes!!

Ann- I am so glad that we ran into each other at conference. We had so much fun hanging out with you guys, we can't wait to come up to your house. We probably won't be going anywhere over Memorial day weekend, that would be perfect, if it is okay with you. Let me talk to kris. I will post back otay. Thanks for the yummy lunch too, so thoughtful of you. Have a great week, see you soon.

I love dates. Dates with husbands, dates with kids. Only wonderful things can happen with both. Keila and I fight for who gets the next date with dad. You are beautiful Ann and your children have wonderful smiles. My blog is private. Email me and I'll let you in the club... and for anyone else of course!

Ann, I am in the same desperaste need to give Milly dates! She LOVES this, I think, do you get sick of me, like I get sick of you? But I say, what a lovely time, and it is! Rawl has a short hair cut like Camp. I told MIlly, lets look at Ann's blog and she said, "I once had a dream about Camp." "Oh, what was it about?" me, and she said "Camp had a little house, and a boy and Weslie kids." :)
